About enrollment

いつから入学できますか?

　　When can I enroll?

AOI日本語学院の進学コース入学時期は年に2回、4月と10月です。入学するには東京出入国在留管理局からの申請時期を守らなければなりませんので、早めの相談や書類の準備が必要です。AOI日本語学院への入学を希望する場合、入学時期の6ヶ月前までに必要な書類についてご相談ください。

The academic courses in AOI Japanese Language School begin twice a year, in April and October. In order to be admitted, you must comply with the application due dates set by the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau, so early contact and preparation of documents are necessary. If you wish to enroll to AOI Japanese Language School, please contact us at least in 6 months prior the beginning of desired course.

年齢制限がありますか?

年齢制限はありませんが、例外もございますので、AOI日本語学院へ別途ご相談下さい。

In general there is no age limit, but there might be some exceptions, so please consult with our staff for more information.

どうやって申し込めばいいですか?

　　How can I apply?

AOI日本語学院への入学を希望する方はまずは本学院に連絡してください。

必要書類を作成、準備し、AOI日本語学院が定めた期日までに書類を提出してください。AOI日本語学院で書類審査をした後、東京出入国在留管理局に書類を提出します。詳しい進め方は「出願から入学までの流れ」をご参照ください。

Please contact the school office if you wish to enroll to AOI Japanese Language School. （Tel：04-7179-1500/ E-mail：aoi-jls＠aoikai.jp） Please prepare and apply necessary documents by the due dates set by AOI Japanese Language School. The school’s staff will check the documents and after that apply to Tokyo Regional Immigration Services Bureau. About entering Japan

入国時に必要なものがありますか?

　　Is there anything I must bring with me when I enter Japan?

パスポート、ビザ、入学許可書、生活資金(3ヶ月程度の生活費)が最低限必要です。

Valid passport with the valid Japanese visa, Letter of Acceptance, living expenses (in amount for about 3 months) are the minimum requirements.

空港から送迎サービスはありますか?

　　Is there a meeting service from the airport?

AOI日本語学院では送迎サービスを行っております。ご希望の方は、まずAOI日本語学院にご相談ください。

There is a meeting service in AOI Japanese Language School. If you would like to use this service, please contact the school staff in advance.

授業について

About the lessons

授業は一日何時間ですか?

　　How many hours per day are the lessons?

授業は一日4限で、授業時間50分、休憩時間10分となります。学生自身のレベルによって午前と午後のクラスに分かれます。午前クラスの場合は、8時50分から12時40分まで、午後クラスの場合は、13時から16時50分までとなります。

There are 4 lessons per day, 50 minutes each with 10 minutes breaks between them. The classes are divided by the student’s level to morning classes and afternoon classes. The morning classes are held from 8:50 to 12:40, the afternoon classes are held from 13:00 to 16:50.

遅刻の扱いはどうなりますか?

　　How will late arrivals be handled?

授業開始のベルが鳴ってから10分以内であれば遅刻扱いとして、授業を受けることができます。同月内で遅刻３回目になると1コマ欠席として扱います。

If you are late within 10 minutes after the school bell rings announcing the lesson start, it will be counted for you as a late arrival and you will be allowed to attend the lesson. If you are late 3 times in the same month, it will be marked as an absence of one lesson.

寮はありますか？

　　Is there a dormitory accommodation available?

AOI日本語学院では2つの寮を用意しています。各寮によって金額や設備が異なるので、詳細は「寮のご案内」をご参照ください。また、日本に来る前に入寮を希望する場合、手続きが必要ですのでAOI日本語学院に別途お問い合わせください。

There are 2 dormitories belong to the AOI Japanese Language School. The prices and equipment differ depending on the facility so please kindly check the “Student Accommodation” section for the details. If you would like to apply for the school dormitory before arriving to Japan, please contact the school office to complete necessary procedures.

アルバイトはできますか?

　　Can I do a part time job?

留学ビザの場合、東京出入国在留管理局で「資格外活動許可書」を取得した後、一週間に28時間までのアルバイトが認められています。(長期休みの場合、AOI日本語学院で「長期休暇証明書」をもらった後で一日8時間、一週間40時間以内のアルバイトが可能です。)

Holders of student visa, after obtaining a “Permission to Engage in Activity other than that Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted” from the Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau, are allowed to work part-time up to 28 hours per week. (During the long holidays, after obtaining “Long Vacation Certificate” from the school office, it is allowed to work part time up to 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week in total)

一ヶ月の生活費がいくらになりますか？

　　How much are the living expenses per month?

JPSS (JAPAN STUDY SUPPORT)によると外国人留学生の１カ月の生活費（学費を含む）は全国平均で138,000円となっています。最も高いのは関東地方の154,000円です。関東地方の中には東京が含まれており、東京の生活費を見ると158,000円になります。AOI日本語学院がある千葉の場合東京より安いです。

According to JPSS (JAPAN STUDY SUPPORT) monthly living expenses (including tuition) in Japan for international students on average nationwide comes to about 138,000 yen. The Kanto region has the highest living expenses at 154,000 yen. Tokyo is even more expensive, 158,000 JPY per month. AOI Japanese Language School is located in Chiba prefecture which is close to Tokyo but the living costs here are lower in comparison to Tokyo.
